Vanessa grew up in Milton-Freewater and earned her B.A. in Psychology from Whitman College. Early childhood education work and mentoring elementary students sparked her passion for supporting kids and families, leading her to CIS as Student & Community Advocate at Sharpstein Elementary. She is passionate about building strong relationships and creating a space where students feel safe and supported. Outside work, Vanessa enjoys family, friends, volleyball, and travel.
