Originally from the west side of the state but raised in Walla Walla, Helen graduated from WWCC with her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently wrapping up her Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with concentrations in Gender Studies, Psychology, and Criminal Justice through Washington State University.
In her previous roles, she has spent countless hours establishing working relationships with small businesses in the community that have become a huge benefit to our students. She has utilized these connections to take the lead in putting together parent groups and family nights, including the highly successful carnival at the Walla Walla Center for Children and Families in May 2023. She joined Communities In Schools to utilize her skills in attaining resources and managing events but more importantly to continue making personal connections with students and their families.
She is currently raising her own two kids, plus their assortment of animals: 13 chickens, three dogs, and a cat. Helen is active with Destination CrossFit, and loves to attend various sporting events throughout the community.
